Introduction to JUCCCE

5/20/2009 -  The Joint US-China Cooperation on Clean Energy began in 2007as a way to make immediate impacts on the environment while educating people about how they can conserve energy for the future.  Peggy Liu, Chairperson of JUCCCE and TCBN Charter Member, gives us a brief introduction.  The energy scene, in China especially, is growing and changing.  JUCCCE is helping companies develop products using cleaner engery.  They are promoting the idea of integrated urban design for saving more energy and deploying energy-efficient products across the country.  Their effectiveness comes from their top-down strategy coordinated simultaneously with a bottom-up plan.  JUCCCE is unique in that they are a multidisciplinary team with a market approach, with "the heart of an NGO and the mind of a VC."
