Sharad is the Asia Pacific (APAC) Client Development head based out of the New York Office. He is an expert on Hewitt’s capabilities and the issues that clients are facing in the region (Asia Pacific and the Middle East). He helps clients understand key people challenges in the region and possible approaches to manage them. He also facilitates the leveraging of the right experts in the region to address these issues.
Prior to his current role he was the Leader for Hewitt’s Rewards Consulting practice in India and Middle East. His consulting experience of over 12 years spans working with leading organizations across India, Middle East & South Asia. He is also one of the senior domain experts in Banking & Financial services domain.
He has consulted with several organizations in the areas of business strategy linked to people-relationship dynamics and has extensive experience in all aspects of Human Resources Consulting, particularly in the areas of Strategic HR, Performance Consulting, Balance Scorecard design and deployment, Compensation Strategy & Design, Benchmarking, benefits consulting and HR Business Process Review. Sharad has also designed solutions in the purview of Total Rewards and consulted with organizations in the area of managing people issues in mergers, acquisitions and other corporate restructuring initiatives. His extensive consulting experience includes partnering with organizations on a turn key basis to help them in expanding their current operations or entering new countries /geographies. As a part of these partnerships he has consulted with global clients on key global sourcing advisory assignments. He also managed the Middle East markets as a part of his leadership role.
Sharad is accredited in leadership assessment and coaching. He has worked in partnership with leading Business Schools in India and is a speaker in several annual seminars and international HR forums. He has also authored articles in various HR journals and leading business Dailies on people related issues.
He has managed / is a key member in Hewitt’s relationship with key industry associations in the US and India.
Prior to joining Hewitt Sharad worked with the banking majors HSBC and Citibank in their commercial banking divisions. He has a BE degree (with honors) from IIT Roorkee, India. He has an MBA from Delhi University, majoring in Marketing and Finance. He is currently pursuing his MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
