Steve brings almost 40 years of experience in the domestic and international arenas of the automotive industry. Steve has led key initiatives in strategic planning, business planning, marketing, competitive analysis, new business development, mergers and acquisitions and finance.
A significant portion of his experience has focused on international business development and the formation of joint ventures, license agreements and acquisitions. Steve has led new business development ventures in the following regions: Western Europe, Middle East, North Africa, Sub Sahara Africa, South America and Asia. Notably, Steve directed the expansion of General Motors into the Chinese market through 12 years of work in the Peoples Republic of China (PRC), which included seven years living in the region. While working in China Steve originated the project that established the $1.5 billion General Motors Buick manufacturing factory in Shanghai PRC.
Upon returning to the US, Steve was named the COO for a manufacturing joint venture company that produced high technology batteries for electric vehicles. In his latest assignment, Steve was the CFO of a $300 million international division of General Motors Service and Parts Operations. After retiring from GM Steve was appointed Vice President and General Manager of a Richmond VA based wholesale distributor of automotive aftermarket parts. After returning the company to profitability the company was sold and Steve joined a New Jersey importer and distributor of automotive parts as its Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Steve has an MBA in Finance from Long Island University and a BBA in Marketing from Pace University.
