Startonomics creator Dave McClure brings his wisdom to China with his Geeks on a Plane Tour in June 2009.  This introductory video was produced by Netease 163.com.  Dave McClure is an investor with Founders Fund offering seed investments to startup companies in Silicon Valley. He organized the Geeks on a Plane tour to learn more about China and Japan and how the entrepreneurial spirit of these two countries compares to that of the United States’. As a startup investor, McClure’s practices differ from the usual, choosing more companies and investing smaller amounts. He likes to work with people who are not only confident but humble about their ideas. He cautions other investors that when dealing with a startup investment, it’s 95% about the entrepreneur’s vision, not the investor’s. While the Founders Fund currently focuses their interest in US companies , McClure greatly admires Chinese entrepreneurs.
