Howie Snyder has spent the last 25 years living and working in China, Japan, and other countries in Asia. He has led a varied career since being one of the first Westerners to study in Beijing in 1981. He was recently a Project Manager for Coca-Cola for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Howie has been the marking director for the Four Seasons Garden Project in Mongolia, a debt collector for Morgan Stanley, an employee at Kroll Associates (also knows as “Wall Street’s CIA”) in Tokyo, and Citibank in Tokyo. In addition to these jobs, he has also worked on several large world events, including the 1985 Japan World Expo, the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, the 2002 Korea-Japan FIFA World Cup, and the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai. Howie has an MA in International Economics and Japan Studies from John Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a bachelor’s from Columbia University. He is fluent in Chinese, Japanese, and several other languages.
